DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for Operation AFR Trainee in Madagascar. In this specific position you will provide day-to-day administrative support with readily available advice for operations processes and activities to deliver a smooth supply chain and operational model for the targeted business volumes, meet products/ services standards and exceed quality standards in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies.

In this Operation AFR Trainee position

• You will be an individual contributor who completes activities or fulfills targets under immediate supervision and guidance and executes assigned tasks according to specific standards and guidelines.
• You will hold an entry-level position typically requiring little to no prior knowledge or experience.
• You will perform work that is routine or follows standard procedures and is closely supervised.
• You will, under direct supervision, support the delivery of operations processes and activities.
• You will perform assigned tasks of generally repetitive nature to support other team members at the transport and distribution unit or department.
• You will conduct tasks to maintain vehicles and equipment in working order.
• You will collect/deliver shipments within specified time by planning routes, liaising with external departments, timely communications, etc.
• You will carry out standard loading/unloading of the loading unit/loading security.
• You will record routine loading/unloading activities at the customer end through appropriate tools such as scanning applications, phones, etc.
• You will enter data into a database or computerized system to maintain up-to-date transportation records and to track the status of orders and deliveries.
• You will contact shipping agencies, transport companies, and customers to verify delivery prices and schedules.
• You will respond promptly and accurately to routine internal and customer enquiries on delivery times and the status of shipments and orders.
• You will follow and achieve compliance with set processes and policies.
• You will check recurring routine issues faced during delivery, else escalate to the supervisor for inputs and guidance.
• You will support and interact primarily with colleagues of your own team.
• You will communicate information that requires little explanation or interpretation.
• You will address task-related issues appropriately to maintain work relationships.
• You will be an individual contributor without direct responsibility for leading others.
